DTD n Stuff

Hello readers.

Well its been an uneventful few days since my last post. Haven't really been playing all that much poker until tonight. Decided I would just grind the double or nothings on Stars for a wee while and see how I fair, I have such a small bankroll, it seemed a good idea to try n build it up and then take it from there. So far I have played 2 and won 2, so will just keep plodding on and talk more about it on my next post.

This weekend is my free weekend and I am heading down to Nottingham and also going to DTD to play the £50 f/o on Saturday night. A few of my friends will be there, Big Ger n Wee Ger and Lou n Mike from over at APAT. Looking forward to catching up with them, seems ages since we all were together.

The APAT Scottish National is on 18 July and I have my seat for that. So happy that it's in my hometown, no bloomin travelling lol. Will be wonderful to see so many peeps I havent seen since last year who generally just play the Edinburgh event and also catch up with some friends I havent seen in a while, seems ages since I last played Live poker.

The European Team Championships for APAT are coming up and the Team Captains have to pick 4 members for their country, Stuart Oliver being the Scotland Captain. Although I won an APAT event last year, I havent really played all that much and its very much doubtful I will be picked this year, even tho it would be cool and if I do well in Edinburgh I might be in with a shout, so fingers crossed. Would be ace if I was lucky enough to TID, hometown n all that, but hey we can all but dream and try our best in these events.

I received an email from Leigh over at APAT asking if he could do an interview with me for the new upcoming Podcast "gulp". I responded with erm yeah sure but can I prepare first gimme some questions you are going to be asking lol. I tend to get real nervous when I get interviewed, lol you should see some of the APAT interviews I have done, nervous wreck springs to mind.

He wants to cover the National League, where I am Captain for Edinburgh Club as well as get an Edinburgh Gal's perspective of the area for the upcoming Scottish National. So will see how it turns out, gawd im nervous at the thought to be honest lol.

On the personal front, and something that my friend Yorkshire Pud (Matt) will understand is that I am now officially signed off to give my son, who is a Haemophiliac, his treatments at home. Not easy to give your son injections all the time, but a necessity for comfort, on demand treatment, when required and also freedom and no late night trips to hospital when he gets a bleed whilst playing.

It feels wonderful to be given that freedom and my son is delighted that I am able to do it at home, he is very proud of me, but tbh I am so proud of him, 8 years old and doesn't blink an eye when he gets his treatment.

My Uncle is going in for a triple bypass tomorrow and just wanted to say that I am thinking of him and my Aunt and 2 cousins and send all my love and support to them xxx

Other than that, not much else to report, gl at the tables all xx
